Customer reviewsWeight loss aspect worked, my dog did not like the taste
For a short while our dog was alright with this food. We switched her to this after having her on senior food, which she gained weight on. Our vet advised us that a lot of senior food is high in fat so dogs can put on pounds on it. We tried this because it had 4 stars on Dog Food Advisor, but is relatively cheap compared to all the super high end brands. She ate it for a while without much complaint, but at times was a little slow to actually finish it. By the end of this big 33 lb bag she was almost on food protests. She would never eat the food when we put it out and would only eat most of it later, if at all. She did lose a couple pounds on this food, so it wins in that department. She just got really bored of the taste. I got a small bag of Purina One Pro Plan Savor food, and the first time we mixed a little of that with this food she ate It right up immediately, a 180 from the meal before. I can t believe I m gonna feed my dog purina one but that particular high end label of theirs has good reviews and she LOVES it.
